Evaluation of ARSEP-supported research: impact and positioning

2020, 2016, 2012, 2008, 2004

The Multiple Sclerosis Research Support Foundation ARSEP is a non-profit foundation recognized as being of public utility. It has been working since 1969 with its volunteers, alongside faculties, INSERM, CNRS and various medical research institutes. Its mission is to contribute to the prevention and treatment of multiple sclerosis through research, teaching and public information. In recent years, ARSEP has sought to benefit from an external evaluation of the research it funds, in terms of its impact and positioning. Thus, in 2004, 2008 and 2012, under the mandate of ARSEP, Amethis SA then Strategos SA submitted three analysis reports, the results of which mainly concern the following areas:
  • Measuring the impact of ARSEP in multiple sclerosis research and, more generally, measuring the achievement of statutory goals.
  • Analyze ARSEP's portfolio from the perspective of positioning itself in relation to the various research players, particularly those active in neuroscience research.
  • Prepare communication tools to promote ARSEP's action in terms of results and to participate in the debate between Sciences et Cité.
For 2020, Laetitia Perroud participated in the assessment.
